Hailing from Montreal! Goat! is Samuel Matte (guitar, vocals), Louis-Philippe Pepin (bass), Dominic Robert (keyboards, vocals), Serge Thibaudeau (drums, vocals)
Originally formed in 2007, Goat! has just released its first EP in june 2011. This marks the end of months of hard work and trouble-shooting to make it happen but is completely self-produced. Last spring, the band released their first music video for “Being Dr. Robert” with the creative touch and spontaneity of the movie maker Franco Artacho.
Exploring a mix of rock, funk, blues and progressive music, Goat! delivers an energetic and explosive performance on stage. They have played several Montreal music festivals and competitions including Emergenza, Omnium du Rock, PlanetRox and Landmark Showcase. They also have performed at prestigious venues such as Club Soda and Le National.
The band is currently recording a new single which will be release with a new video at the end of the summer. Working on new material, a full-length album is expected out soon.
