News from Goat! :

For the first time, the Montreal-based band Goat! will be performing in the National Capital. They’ll share the Live Lounge stage with Driven, a local band from Hull, on september 3rd.

Doors at 8:30 pm / Show at 9 pm

Tickets : $10 at the door

 

Good news! Goat! has won the first place at the Landmark Showcase Competition‘s preliminary round at Le National (Montreal). Judged by some music industry executives, the band has received many comments praising their live performance and the unique style of their music.

Besides, Goat! will perform at Pop Montreal this years. They will hit the stage at L’Escogriffe on thursday, September 22nd at 11:30 pm.

GOAT! IS PLAYING @ LANDMARK SHOWCASE

Goat! is playing at Landmark Showcase Competition - in front of record companies and music executives.

About Goat!

Originally formed in 2007, Goat! has just released its first EP in june 2011. This marks the end of months of hard work and trouble-shooting to make it happen but is completely self-produced. Last spring, the band released their first music video for “Being Dr. Robert” with the creative touch and spontaneity of the movie maker Franco Artacho.

Exploring a mix of rock, funk, blues and progressive music, Goat! delivers an energetic and explosive performance on stage. They have played several Montreal music festivals and competitions including Emergenza, Omnium du Rock, PlanetRox, Landmark Showcase & Pop Montreal. They also have performed at prestigious venues such as Club Soda and Le National.

ELVYN @ NXNE

If you’ll be attending NXNE this year, don’t miss Elvyn at the Silver Dollar Room (Toronto), Thursday, June 16 at 10 pm. Elvyn presents a showcase along Sports (Toronto) and Crocodiles (San Diego).

NXNE starts this week and I’m happy to be heading to Toronto for the event. There is so many good bands out there, so many friends to see and some really cool events not to be missed (XM The Verge Rooftop party, M for Montreal Showcase on a boat). I’m especially excited about Elvyn‘s showcase this Thursday night at The Silver Dollar Room. “The Decline” is one of the best album I’ve heard and I just can’t wait to see them perform live! There’s something in this album that makes me nostalgic with their melodic pop, inspired by the sounds of the 60′s and 70′s and blended with lush harmony arrangements.

Elvyn has had good international response for their third album, “The Decline”. They are working on new songs, a 7″ will be available in a limited edition at the end of the summer and a new album will be released in early 2012.
